USA ... or USSA (United Socialist States of America)?

It finally happened. On November 4, 2008, Alexander Tyler's 1787 promise that "... a democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury..." came true. The question is, can we save this nation and return it to its greatness based on founding principles and values - or have we already become the United Socialist States of America? It's your turn to SPEAK OUT! Tell us if we can fix this mess - and how!

  1. Sen. Jim DeMint, R-S.C., a staunch opponent of the federal government’s increase in size and spending legislated by President Obama’s stimulus package, has issued a call for Americans to stand up – literally – and take back their freedom.

    “I would think it’s time to start thinking about peaceful demonstrations,” DeMint said in an interview with Georgia’s Augusta Chronicle. “The power of the people is there. Freedom is in the people’s hands right now, and it’s about to slip through.”

    Of course we didnt read this in our local media. I found it at michellemalkin.com.

    I think its time to show our support to our hard working Senator. He is correct and if we dont stand up now and fight for our freedom it will be gone.

  2. I am with you but it, but the first step to fighting for our freedom is for the Republican Party to be rebuilt and united on conservative principles because united we stand and divided we fall. I think the reason for the party failing and losing elections is because we have not been in unity.

  4. It all starts with us. We need to adhere to the principles of the Constitution. Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are on the brink right now with Obama's big government schemes of cap and trade, health care and the so called stimulus plan. We need real solutions to the problems. Obama believes the state is the answer while We the People believe in the goodness and hard work of the American people. Ronald Reagan said, "Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same." It is time for us to stand firm, hold to individual freedom, limited government and a strong national defense.

    The first step is we need jobs. Unemployment is reaching 10 percent and Obama is stifling economic prosperity. I have signed a petition on American Solutions calling for Obama to create jobs by doing the following: 1. abolish taxes on capital gains, 2. cut payroll taxes by 1/2 in 2 yrs 3. Reduce corporate tax rate and 4. abolish death tax. Go to www.americansolutions/jobsfirst/ and sign the petition.

    Second, we need to recruit candidates that believe in the principles of the Founders, such as Jefferson and conservatism such as Reagan and the Contract with America

    Third, lets make a new contract for all Americans that promote individual freedom, liberty and a "better deal" for the middle class.

    I would like to recommend Jill Kelso to run for Congress in 2010 and run on these principles along with promising term limits, fiscal responsibility, no earmark spending for individual power and to promote a platform of prosperity for all Americans.
